Joshua Brett Wimpee, age 39 of Gadsden Alabama passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his home. A private memorial service will be held for friends and family at a later date.
Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Cathleen O'Brien of Gadsden, AL; sons, Conrad Wimpee (16) and Leon Wimpee (11) of Dawsonville, GA; parents, Janet Mecham of Ashville, AL and Richard Wimpee of Stella, MO; sister, Brianna Davis (Nathan) of Ashville, AL; brother, Eric Wimpee of Southside, AL; niece, Zoe Wimpee (19) of Little Switzerland, NC; and nephew, Zander Wimpee (14) of Leesburg, VA.
Father, son, brother, Veteran, and king, Josh was many things to many people. Josh was passionate about so much in his life, but above all, he wanted to help people. Josh was a gifted culinary artist, and enjoyed preparing extravagant meals for his friends and family. As an avid fan of 1980's culture, Josh liked to remind people of nostalgic times and to not take things too seriously. Compassionate and understanding, Josh loved to help animals and children, and nothing was more important to him than family. Josh had the most compassionate, loving heart, and will be dearly missed by all of those who felt his love.
