Brenda Joyce Yancey, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1952, in Red River County, Texas.

Mrs. Yancey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, and the kindness she shared with all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Donnie Yancey of Texarkana, Texas; her parents, Alford and Zela Putteet; and her siblings Rita Johnson, Glenda Sue Davies, Patricia Yeatman, and Rickey Putteet.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Yancey; her daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jay Lewis; four granddaughters, Lakin (Brittany) Wright, Allison Yancey, Paige (Raven) McAdams, and Amber Yancey; two grandsons, Cody (Ashley) Lewis and Cory Lewis; and four great-grandchildren, Lane and Lawson Lewis, Cove Wright, and Emery Smith.

Brenda's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. Her warmth, strength, and gentle humor will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday October 11, 2025 at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Chapel with Carlos Trapp officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025 from 6 – 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
