Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. - SykesvilleBrent Allen Borgaard, born January 7, 1971, in Baltimore, MD passed away on March 1, 2026, Brent is survived by his brother. He was predeceased by his parents John C. Borgaard and Rosalie A. Borgaard (nee Lindler).
Brent will be remembered for his sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need, from moving a washing machine, to bringing you the Zip ties you were out of. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and camping with friends and family. He enjoyed riding and racing 4 wheelers and racing sprint cars. He could fix or build anything. He was proud of his Jeep build and his solo trip across the country. He was willing to try almost any activity, sky diving, hang gliding, and scuba diving. He loved video games and could kick your butt in a game of guitar hero even being down a finger.
Brent loved to spend time with his friends. Having a drink at Winfield Inn, listening to a friend’s band play, sitting around a bonfire, collecting heart rocks, or simply hanging out in their garage talking about old times and possibly setting the place on fire with a surprise firework. He played guitar and piano, his favorite being Bohemian Rhapsody. He loved music and could stump almost anyone with his knowledge of music, particularly classic rock.
Brent was extremely proud of his service to our country and his time in the Army. He was a true patriot that loved America and will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School).
Celebration of Life will be held at Piney Run Park 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784 starting at 11 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Pavillion # 3.
