Brent Chapman Gardiner Sr.

Brent, age 42, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was a native of Phoenix, Arizona and longtime resident of Independence, LA. Brent proudly served his country in The United States Navy. He was a skilled tradesman who could fix any broken boat engine properly. Brent never met a stranger, and often lighting up a room with his awesome smile. Outdoors was a special place for him; often star-gazing for hours, or being quiet and still counting the number of turkeys, deer, and other wildlife that came into his view. Brent was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brent is survived by his loving wife Susan Gardiner; son, Brent Gardiner, Jr.; parents, Lynda and Lee Gardiner III; sisters, Athena Thompson; brothers, Garrett Gardiner Sr., Anthony Love; nieces and nephews, Victoria, Garrett Jr., Bailee, Kylee, Carlee, Kendall Love, Kali, Kaci, Katherine, Lynlee, and Patrick.
Brent is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee C. Gardiner Jr., Peggy Gardiner, Wardell Murphy, Martha and Fred Bork; and aunt, Michelle Ann Bork Lamb; brother, James Wren Gardiner.
