Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather died November 16, 2025 surrounded by family in Santaquin, Utah from a long battle with illness.
Brent was born December 20, 1947 in Payson, Utah to Hyrum L McClellan and Dorothy Gray McClellan. He graduated from Payson High School then married his high school sweetheart, Marcia Ann Christensen on November 3, 1967. Brent was drafted and went to serve in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam two weeks after being married. He earned several medals during his service including a Combat Infantry Badge, and Rifle Marksman and others. He returned safely home after serving 2 years in the Army and received an honorable discharge. A few years later he joined the Utah National Guard where he retired as a Sergeant First Class with an honorable discharge after 25 years of service. He also worked for and retired after a long career for USPS as a letter carrier. He loved coaching football and baseball for many years and was just known as Coach “B”. He loved wood working and built special items for his kids and grandkids. He also loved cruising and going to Las Vegas shows with his wife.
Brent is survived by his wife Marcia McClellan after 58 years of marriage, their two children; Chris (Trish) and Leisa (Waco) Jarvis and four grandchildren Boone, Sawyer, and Oakley Jarvis and Madison McClellan. He is also survived by a sister Fearn (McClellan) Brailsford. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mary, Pat, and Keith McClellan.
There will be a viewing at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 S 300 E Santaquin Utah, on Saturday November 22, 2025 from 10:00 -11:00 am.
Graveside Services with military honors will be held the same day Saturday November 22nd at Santaquin Cemetery at 11:30am, 100 E 300 S Santaquin, Utah.
