Brent Tyvela Obituary

Brent was a member and trustee of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Brent was a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University. He was employed as Security Chief at General Motors in Bay City and Saginaw. He was a volunteer for the United Way of Bay County.
Brent is survived by his wife, the former Kathryn "Kassie" Delestowicz, whom he married April 2, 2005. He also leaves three children: Rayannin V. Tyvela, Oliviannah L. Tyvela and London L. Tyvela, a sister Jody E. Tyvela, a brother Kirk (Anne Molineu) Tyvela, a nephew Parker Botwright and nieces Lillian and Grace Tyvela, father-in-law and mother-in-law Rick and Judy Delestowicz, brother-in-law Eric (Autumn) Delestowicz and 3 nephews: Sebastian, Travis and Theodore and a niece Teagan.
Funeral and committal service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Chris Garcia will officiate. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the wishes of the family. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Penzien Steele Funeral Home. He will lie in state at the Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service begins.

I met Brent in high school at BCC. I transferred from Handy and felt I didn´t know where I fit in high school. Brent showed me kindness, he was a good friend to me. We would hang out, sometimes play pool. He played football and the oh fun of Friday night lights as I cheered on the sidelines. He had a ready smile always and had such an easy spirit. I wish I could´ve thanked him for being a good friend. Praise the Lord he is in victory! I see he knew Jesus and my heart is comforted for his family to know they will see him again in glory.
