Brenton McCarthy Obituary
Brent attended St. Rita Catholic Middle School and Hononegah High School. As a starter for the St. Rita basketball team, he participated in the State Championships both years as a scoring leader. He was employed at Executive Lawn Services where he worked as a supervisor/team leader. His many friends will forever miss his infectious smile, and loyal friendship. Brent enjoyed basketball, golfing and loved spending time with his son, Braylon, doing both, as well as studying, playing, and spending quality time together.
Brent will be dearly missed by his son, Braylon McCarthy; father, Michael McCarthy and his wife Kandace McCarthy of the Village of Lakewood; his mother, Susan McCarthy of Loves Park; brother, Adam McCarthy of Poplar Grove; mother of his son Braylon, Dana Meads; niece, Josie McCarthy and paternal grandmother, Rosemary Jourdan of Sandoval; his uncles, aunts, and many cousins who all held a special place in his heart, and him in theirs.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ed and Betty Womble from Centralia, Illinois.
