Born on August 25, 1958, Brett resided in Gardendale, AL, and spent his life pursuing his passions and cherishing time with his loved ones.
Brett is survived by his sister, Jill Porteous (Howard) daugter, Amanda Zaremba; and grandchildren, Chase and Conner; and a very dear friend and caregiver, Melody Scoggins.
A thrill-seeker at heart, Brett loved riding his Harley Davidson and watching NASCAR racing. His adventurous spirit and zest for life inspired all who knew him.
The family will cherish the memories of Brett's love, laughter, and infectious enthusiasm. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.

Brett was an amazing person to know. I was lucky enough to have also known his wife before she passed. He became our family while staying with us. He was truly one of a kind and I will never forget him.
