Brett L. Marsh, 65, of Slater, died Thursday, May 29, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Evangelical Church near Saline City, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Evangelical Church Cemetery, with Colby Johnson, Mark Shockley, Justin Barber, Andy Marsh, Lucas Schaefer, and Bob Maher serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, June 2, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the Salem Evangelical Church, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home. Born February 17, 1960 in Marshall, he was the son of the late Robert and Barbara Wilson Marsh. On April 24, 1999 in Slater, he married Cindy Reed, and she survives of the home. Also surviving are three daughters, Morgan Shockley (Mark) of Windsor, Missouri, Alison Johnson (Colby) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lauren Williams (Justin) of Slater; six grandchildren; a brother, Dirk W. Marsh (Laura) of Knoxville, Tennessee; and a sister, Lynne Michelle Maher (Bob) of Overland Park, Kansas. Mr. Marsh was a member of the Salem Evangelical Church near Saline City, and was a 1978 graduate of Slater High School. He worked at Mid-State Seeds in Marshall, and later worked in maintenance at Lee Hog Farms near Slater.
