Brett Anthony Scott, 23, a native of Houma and resident of Thibodaux, passed away on February 18, 2022.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park-Houma from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, followed by the funeral service to start at 4:00 pm.
He is survived by girlfriend, Katie Bergeron; parents, Kevin Scott and Chasity LeBlanc and her spouse Willie Callahan; brother, Brennan Scott and his spouse Katelyn Landry; Godchildren and nieces, Emeri, Mabry, and Wrynn Scott; sister, Brooklyn Scott and her fiancé Cullen Songy; grandparents, Ronald and Terry LeBlanc, Timothy Scott and Deena Rhodes; fur baby, Bella Scott; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Beatrice & Roy LeBlanc, Rosemary and Lester Scott; great aunt, Suzanne Scott; and step dad, Byron Mabry.
Brett was the goofy, fun, and caring mechanic we all knew and loved. He spent every minute he could working and fixing anything. If he wasn't working on his truck or motorcycle, he was fishing and trying to find something new to get into. Percle's Body Shop was Brett's home away from home. There was no such thing as junk to Brett. Everything had a purpose, and he was on a mission to find it. Many may have thought Brett's black hands were dirty, but he would always try to convince you that was clean to him. Brett loved his life, his friends, his greasy hands, and most importantly his dog Bella. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
