Brett Wiles Obituary

Visit the Paquelet and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Homes website to view the full obituary.
Brett Wiles, a beloved father, brother, son, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2022, at the age of 44. He was born in Canton on January 17, 1978, to James "Brad" and Patricia (Todd) Wiles.
He was a proud 1996 graduate of Washington High School and attended Tiffin University and Akron University before earning his certification and working with the Plumber and Pipe Fitters Local Union No. 94. where he was currently employed.
Brett could best be described as a true and loyal friend, who had charm, provided protection, and could always make you laugh. He had a tough exterior but also had a soft side and a huge heart.
Brett was fiercely devoted to his family and friends, and they always knew they could count on him to be there, at any hour of the day, especially when they needed him most. And if you needed someone on your team, Brett was always your first pick or if you needed a laugh, Brett had the best one liners that could keep you laughing for hours.
In addition to his one-of-a-kind personality, Brett was also athletic. He excelled at most sports in high school and was a huge fan of Ohio sports teams. He also loved the outdoors, riding his Harley and of course, hanging with the best group of guy friends you could ever ask for.
He will be deeply missed by his loving daughters, Caylie Wiles and Britney Lorenz; his beloved parents, Brad and Patty Wiles; brother Marc (Allison) Wiles; former spouse and loving friend, Jennifer (Hattery) Wiles; nieces and nephew, Haley, Sarah, and Josh Wiles, Eemoni, Samari, Ahmari, Lalani, and Tanali Hattery-Cunningham; and goddaughter Ilah Spicocchi. Brett also leaves to cherish his memory, the most supportive and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brett was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, James E. Wiles and Jean Schaffter and Oscar and Ophelia Todd.
A private service will be held for family only.
