With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Brian Scott Allen, who left this life on August 4, 2025, in Provo, Utah, at the age of 51, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Brian was born on January 12, 1974, in Ogden, Utah, to Alan Johnstun and Judith Linda Smith. He was later adopted by Scott Douglas Allen, who played a meaningful and loving role in his life.

He grew up in southern Idaho and graduated from Raft River High School, where he built lifelong friendships and memories. He faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oklahoma City from 1993 to 1994 — a time that deeply shaped his character and strengthened his faith.

Throughout his life, Brian experienced love in many seasons and was married three times. In his later years, he found his true soulmate in Tenae Nelson Allen, the love of his life. Their marriage was filled with laughter, companionship, and unwavering support.

Brian had a deep love for farming, a passion that connected him to the land and his roots. He was a proud Raiders fan, and he especially cherished Sunday Disney movie nights with his family. Always handy and willing to help whenever he was able.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Tenae Nelson Allen and his children. Brian loved each of his children deeply, whether by birth or marriage, Brecca Dawn (Cody Micheal) Kalco, Brian Scott Allen Jr., Toby Joe Allen (Madison Johnson), Kodie Gregory, Ashley Mills, Amanda Knight, Brooklyn Hull, Madison Hull (Steven) Anderson, Dawson Gary Hull, and Bryson Trevor Hull. He was a proud grandfather to Reighlynn Kalco, Brixlee Hull, Lucas Anderson, and Clay Anderson, each of whom brought light and joy into his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Melanie (Rob) Barfuss, Robert (Jamie) Allen, Aaron (Liz) Allen, Karrie (Jeremy) Baldenegro, and Joseph Johnston (Amy Johnston), as well as his grandmother, Rozella Johnstun; his mother-in-law, Paula Beecher Nelson, and his in-laws,Tenelle (Zach) Darrington, NaShai (Chris) Oakeson, Cole (Jamie) Nelson, and Megann (Sykler) Marble, all of whom were important parts of his life.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Glenna Allen, Leslie and Gladys Smith, Alma Johnstun, and his father-in-law, Gary Curtis Nelson; as well as his beloved nephew, Lucas Allen

Brian was known not only for his dedication to family, but also for his strong work ethic and the deep respect he had for his colleagues. Whether in the field, the shop, or wherever life took him, he formed lasting friendships with those he worked alongside. Brian genuinely appreciated the people around him, especially those at Sweep ‘N’ Utah and made sure they felt it. His coworkers became extended family, and their support meant the world to him throughout his life — especially in his final days.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Wilson 1st Ward Chapel, 4100 West 900 South, West Weber. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Elba Grandview Cemetery, Elba, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to support Tenae Nelson Allen and their family during this time of need. Contributions can be made via GoFundMe https://gofund.me/250c2609. Your love, support, and generosity are deeply appreciated.

The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to their beloved Brylee Farms Ward family of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Your countless acts of kindness, service, prayers, and love have been a source of strength and comfort. Your Christlike compassion has made a lasting difference, and we are forever thankful.
