Brian Leland Bayles, age 61, passed away suddenly on October 25, 2025, while at work.

Brian was born on June 16, 1964, in San Rafael, California, to Bill Bayles and Carolyn Rawlinson. He grew up with a strong sense of curiosity and determination that carried through every part of his life. After graduating from Novato High School in 1982, he went on to earn a bachelor's degree in marriage and family sciences from Brigham Young University in 1993.

Before starting his family, Brian served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Louis, Missouri, from September 17, 1986, until July 29, 1988. His time there deepened his faith and love for helping others, qualities that defined him throughout his life.

On May 13, 1989, Brian married Linda Bayles, and together they raised four wonderful children, Brandon, Derek, Garrett, and Courtney, who were truly the pride and joy of his life. In later years, he was blessed with five grandchildren, whom he loved more than words could express.

Brian spent most of his career working in retail, from meat and candy to wholesale operations. He was known for his remarkable work ethic and reliability, qualities that earned him the respect of everyone he worked with. Above all, Brian loved people. He had a special gift for making others feel valued and could brighten any room with his warmth and genuine laugh.

Outside of work, Brian loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed coaching soccer, reading, tackling home projects, and doing family history work. No matter what he was doing, he gave his whole heart to it.

Brian is survived by his children, Brandon, Derek (and his wife, Shelby), Garrett (and his wife, Hannah), and Courtney (and her husband, Layne); his sister, Carla; his stepsiblings, Paul Miliani and Laura Warburton; and his five beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Bayles, Sally Bayles, and Carolyn Rawlinson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lehi 18th Ward church, 1364 West 1870 North, Lehi, Utah 84043. Two viewings are scheduled: the first on Sunday, November 2, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street, Lehi, Utah, and the second on Monday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wing Mortuary, by reaching out directly to one of Brian's children or via the following Venmo link. https://venmo.com/u/Brandon-Bayles-3 (last four 7015)

Brian will be remembered for his faith, his love for people, and the way he made everyone around him feel cared for. His legacy of kindness and service will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
