Naugatuck – Brian L. Blanchard, 44, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Connecticut Hospice after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Amy (Alonza) Blanchard.
Always with a smile, Brian would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He was caring, compassionate, and fun-loving. Never taking life too seriously, Brian lived with an optimistic attitude and zest for life. His charm was contagious and his humor unparalleled and everyone who knew him was drawn in by his happiness.
Brian was born June 7, 1978, in Austin, TX, the son of Kenneth Blanchard (Marcia) and Dianna (Bruzzi) Blanchard (Terry). He was an HVAC Technician for several years before finishing his career as a maintenance technician for Eversource. He was a hard worker who was always willing to lend a hand – both on and off the job.
Besides his wife of 15 years and his parents, Brian is survived by his brother Nicholas Blanchard and his wife Jennifer, and their children Jacob and Emma; his grandmother Nancy Blanchard; his father-in-law and his mother-in-law Brian and Annamarie Alonza Sr.; his brother-in-law Brian J. Alonza Jr. (Christine Nunes); his nephew and niece Niko and Juliana Alonza as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and treasured friends. He set an amazing example as a husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend and his light will shine brightly in all who knew him.

My deepest condolences to Brian's family. Brian and Nick were our neighbors growing up in Stafford, Springs. Brian was genuinely a nice guy, I remember his smile, laughter and kindness. I'm sure that carried on into his life as an adult, too. I'm very sorry for your loss, he was a good one.
