Brian (Bo) Boback, 52, went to his eternal resting place in heaven on Sunday, September 26, 2021 after a long fought medical battle. Brian was a beloved friend to all who knew him. He was born in Erie on August 19, 1969. He is a graduate of St. John the Baptist and Cathedral Prep, class of 1988.
Bo was an avid sports fan. He would watch just about any sporting event but he had a true love for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Dallas Cowboys and the Red Sox. Bo loved to spend time with his friends and engage in spirited conversations. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved hiking, kayaking, swimming and when he was with you, you always had a great time. He loved music and was a big fan of the Erie Phil Harmonic.
Brian leaves to cherish and celebrate his life Frank and Cindy Drake (Shawn, Nicole and Heather), Mary Zamierowski (Todd, Joe, Jill, Jen and Mike Z- and his family), George and Christine Simon (Korey and Katie), Bill and Diane Ball (and family), Joe DiBello (and family) Tim Hess (and family), Rick Simon (and family), Robert Culbertson (and family), and far too many friends who were his family that are too numerous to mention. He is our FOREVER FRIEND and BROTHER and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a funeral mass in his honor on Saturday, October 2nd at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 509 East 26th Street followed by a brief ceremony at the Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, 2601 Norcross Rd., which will be his final resting place. We encourage all to attend a Celebration of the Life of Brian Boback from 2-6PM at the Erie Zoo park. Food will be provided, BYOB. Special thanks to the ICU Team at St. Vincent Hospital for their excellent attention and care during his time there. Memorials may be made to the AHN Cancer Institute, 2508 Myrtle Street, Erie, PA 16502.
Arrangements are being handled by the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Ave. Branch.

Bo, I'm sorry this is so late. But just wanted to say, Good-bye. You were such a sweetheart. I will never forget all the poker card games we played. We really had some good times, but as we all know time moves on. Look out for Sean for me. Peace
