Because our visits to Hills Pond were so few and far between my husband Guy and I only saw Brian a few times over the past several years while visiting the family cabin. As our next-door neighbor, Brian always impressed us with his friendliness, kindness and willingness to help out. We are so sorry for your loss, Kelly. Rest in Peace, Brian.

I just heard about Coach Chadwick. I have great memories of wrestling under him 1969 - 1972 , l was proud to be captain for 2 of those yrs. He was a great inspiration and tough conditioning trainer. We spent hours planning the next match ups and making sure every team member had opportunities. Innovative and enthusiastic, he introduced cheerleaders to our squad and lead us to CC Champs. I still think of him when l see a vintage brown Firebird drive by.

Brian was a great neighbor on Hills Pond and I enjoyed working with him when he was the Association President. He will be greatly missed floating by in his little pontoon boat and seeing him and J.J. in the yearly morning hours. Our thoughts are with you Kelly.

The word that best sums up Mr. Chadwick is "passionate". As my wrestling coach at Bishop Kearney High School, his knowledge and intense desire to win made us a winning team. He was tough but that made me want to excel all the more.

Coach Chadwick was the most influential coach I´ve ever had. I had the opportunity to play football for him and wrestled for four years. He really knew how to bring out the best in you. I do remember him bringing us to Clarion State wrestling camp and taking us to other high schools to practice with other teams. You know you don´t realize how dedicated some coaches are specially wrestling coaches. The long nights and weekend wrestling tournaments. I don´t think we ever skipped a wrestling practice. These values are taught as kids, last a lifetime. Thanks Coach

Though I had 4 memorable years wrestling under coach Chadwick, my favorite memory of him was being at a City Catholic coach´s meeting with him while I was helping out at Aquinas. We then decided that we would go together to Syracuse for the state wrestling tournament. We had a great time together. Years later, I was at a high school football game and coach Chadwick was there scouting for Edison. We sat together throughout the game. The memories will always be with me. The more I knew him, especially as an adult, the more I had the highest respect for him.

Coach Chadwick from the first day of wrestling practice Oct 1978 would say that wrestling for BK is about "Being a Champion Baby". Every Kearney wrestler who ever was fortunate to have been in that wrestling room knew that it meant everything to coach, but it was much more. In summer of 1979 he rented a van and took 8 of us to Clarion State Wrestling Camp in Pennsylvania. He understood how important it was for us to be around great coaches and great competition. He dropped us off and then drove back a week later to pick us up. He would not take a dime. He just wanted us to experience being around champions. He wanted all of us to stay close, to remember that hard work takes commitment to become special. Not all of us won City Catholics, Sectionals or States but we learned as young men that these values coach taught would carry us for the rest of our lives.

Coach was one of the best ever. I wrestled for him and learned so much! He had a heart of gold, cared deeply for his wrestlers and our development as athletes and men! Coach I am sure I will see you again and thank you for always being there for us as a team!

I knew Brian from Planet Fitness. He had a great sense of humor, and his 56 Thunderbird was really something. He was just a very interesting person. He told me he played college football, and coaching at Edison Tech. He will be missed, a great guy. I remember Brian attending 8:00 Am Mass at Mother of Sorrows. He is probably coaching in Heaven. It was an honor to know him.

I wrestled for coach Chadwick back in the late 60´s. He was the best all around coach and mentor I ever had in High School. His energy, motivational skills, competitiveness, and knowledge of the sport were second to none.
I was also fortunate enough to call him a good friend beyond H.S. You will be sorely missed, my coach, my friend.

Coach Chadwick worked incredibly hard to turn us in to championship wrestlers. We learned so much more from him than wrestling. He taught us lessons in perseverance that have lasted a lifetime. He believed in us and pushed us to be better than we thought we could be. He devoted so many hours to coaching wrestling and football at Bishop Kearney and he made a huge difference in our lives. He had a competitive fire that burned tremendously and he never let us quit on ourselves our are teammates. I know that after his time at BK he continued to help change lives at the RCSD. He was a good coach and a better man.
RIP Coach

Coach Chadwick was always a tireless and dedicated force at Bishop Kearney. He taught us all how to work hard and got the best out of us. He instilled many qualities that would benefit us as we became adults. May Coach Chadwick forever Rest in Peace and let Perpetual Light shine upon him.
