Brian Chatelain Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis-Watkins Funeral Homes & Crematory - Crestview Memorial on Jan. 8, 2026.
Brian Chatelain, 59, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones at home Friday, January 2, 2026.

Brian was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 3, 1966 to his parents Earl Chatelain Jr. and Juanita Malott.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Chatelain Jr.; and his son, Michael Chatelain.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Elena Chatelain; daughter, Jessica York (Thomas); mother, Juanita Malott; brother, Kevin Chatelain; sister, Lori Chatelain; granddaughters, Ellie and Blakely York; grandson, Stetson York; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brian served a long 22 years in the United States Air Force. He retired in 2007 as a master sergeant and continued to work for many years at Lowes. In his free time, he would spend many long hours working on his sand rail to take it to car meets. He would also collect hot wheels and refurbish them to their proper state, as well as collect coins. One of Brians most enjoyed hobbies was spending time with his grandson, Stetson York, as they bonded over 3D-printing objects and creating new car models.

In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to be made out to the National Cancer Institute in honor of Brian.

Arrangements and services are under the care of Davis Watkins Crestview Memorial.
