Funeral Service for Brian Gene Cottrell 52, of Cement, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Fletcher First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Paradise Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 14, 2025, from 12:00-8:00p.m. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home.
Brian Gene Cottrell was born December 27, 1972, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Benny and Roberta Cottrell, where he lived for 6 months before moving to the family homestead in Cement, Oklahoma, where he lived at the time of his passing.
He grew up on the family farm and attended Cement Public Schools. After High School, Brian went to work for Delta Faucet in Chickasha where he worked for over a decade. Brian attended OSU IT where he received a double Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences. From there he went to work for Eaton Corporation from 2008 to present.
Brian was an avid open-wheel racing fan. He enjoyed attending the Chili Bowl Nationals every year in Tulsa with his father, brothers, uncles and Aunt Mary. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with family and friends and loved attending the 5-state run out of Guymon, Oklahoma every year in May. He was an avid Tony Stewart fan and followed him in every form of motorsports that Tony was involved in.
Brian is survived by his two brothers: Kelly Cottrell and wife Stephanie Cottrell of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Josh Cottrell and Fiancé Brittany Young of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; 8 nephews; 3 nieces; 3 great-nephews and 1 great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benny and Roberta Cottrell; his grandparents: Delbert and Wilma Cottrell; his grandfather, Robert Lee Barrett; his grandmother, Finy Moore; and his nephew, Joshua Gene Cottrell Jr.
