Brian Jay Desrochers

Brian Jay Desrochers, age 62, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton, CO with his wife Teresa at his side after a long battle fighting Multiple Sclerosis.
Brian was born March 19, 1961 to Gerard and Charmayne Desrochers in Bedford, MA, the middle child of three boys. The family eventually moved to Tigerton, WI where Brian attended Tigerton High School. While attending THS, Brian participated in track, football, and basketball. Brian also had a passion for the outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing, and time with his family.
After HS, Brian worked for Quality Hardwoods in IN, also as a truck driver for H.O.Wolding and enjoyed driving in Chicago for N&M Transfer in Neenah, WI until his MS no longer allowed him to.
But MS didn't beat him yet! This is how he met the love of his life, Teresa. After only 6 months of communicating about their mutual diagnosis across the states, Brian moved to CO to marry Teresa on July 23, 2010. Their favorite place to visit together was Estes Park. They also loved to stay busy with their family and friends. Brian's grandchildren especially loved sitting on Papa's lap and "going fast" down the sidewalks in his electric wheelchair.
Aside from his love for sports and the great outdoors, Brian's devotion for his family and friends was undeniable. He always put others before himself, always trying to help anyone in need. Brian had an infectious smile, contagious laughter, and charming wit that brought cheer to everyone around him.
Brian is survived and will be deeply missed by: his loving wife of 13 years, Teresa; children, Jesse (Misty) Desrochers, Cary Desrochers, Linsey Desrochers all of New London, WI, Chad (Nicki) Polhamus, Parker, CO, Ryan Polhamus, Ocala, FL, Kati (Ryan) Tidler, Aurora, CO; father, Gerard Desrochers, Tigerton, WI; brothers, Mike (Mary) Desrochers, Marion, WI, Paul (Lori Hammen-Henderson) Desrochers, New London, WI; brothers-in-law, Rick (Jennifer) Thomas, Centennial, CO, Jeff (Lori) Thomas, Marion, IA; grandchildren, Dexter, Quintin, Cassadee and Greyson; mother-in-law, Donna Thomas; 10 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews; and faithful dog Emmy, who always put a smile on his face. His tireless love and devotion to his family were evident in their final days spent together.
Brian was preceded in death by: his mother, Charmayne Desrochers; father-in-law, Gary Thomas; and granddaughter, Kenslee Tidler.
Brian's Celebration of Life will be held at the Parkway Bar & Grill in Aurora, CO on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1:00pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and share some of their favorite memories and stories about Brian over the years.
A memorial will also be held in WI at a later date.
