Brian Dunda Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 30, 2026.
Brian Michael Dunda, 59, passed away January 28, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is the son of Geraldine "Gerri" Dunda and the late Thomas Andrew Dunda Sr. Brian was a graduate of Dunmore High School where he cultivated lifelong friendships with people he cherished. He established a career in the automotive industry and was employed by Tom Hesser BMW as General Sales Manager for the past several years. He had a remarkable talent for working with numbers and overseeing day to day operations of the dealership to ensure its success.
Brian's sense of humor was the hallmark of his personality. It was driven by his quick wit and clever observations which often led to endless nicknames, sayings and songs. His ability for commanding a room while telling a story was sheer perfection as he could walk into a room of strangers and walk out with a mass of friends. Brian had a very generous heart and would often help people in need without acknowledgment or relationship to them.
He was a loyal fan to the "New York Football Giants" despite their lackluster performance and frequent upsets. In addition to watching football, Brian loved spending time in the kitchen with his sisters, picking mushrooms, fishing, and going to antique auctions. Above all, Brian loved his family beyond measure and found a way to have a special connection with each of them in their own unique and meaningful way.
Survivors include his mother, Gerri Dunda, son Matthew Krah, brother, Thomas A. Dunda Jr. and wife Barbara, sisters Linda Reilly and husband Michael, Christine Nicolais, Stacy Dunda McAndrew and husband William, Jennifer Baldassari and husband Elmo. Brian adored and was adored by his nieces Jennifer Kleeman O'Connor, Carly Reilly Magidenko, Sandra Nicolais Bourne, Jacqulyn Nicolais and Cabrini Bella Baldassari and nephews Cory Reilly, Thomas A. Dunda III and Dylan Dunda.
Brian received exceptional care from medical experts at the University of Penn Hospital. His family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Marianna Iezzi Holmes for her friendship, continuous support and unwavering willingness to help Brian during his medical journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to The Tara Miller Melanoma Foundation online via taramillerfoundation.org or by mail: P.O. Box 3154 Margate, New Jersey 08402.
