Brian D. Farnsworth

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Brian D. Farnsworth, 69, of East Liverpool, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA following a brief illness.

Brian was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on February 2, 1956, a son of the late Robert and Julia (Kuziak) Farnsworth. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1974 and earned his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. Brian owned and operated Farnsworth Engineering Company in East Liverpool for many years. Most recently, he worked as a welding engineer at Holtec International. Brian received a patent for his invention HI-BRIAN for a welding device designed to reduce crew exposure during canister welding for nuclear waste. Brian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he had served in several capacities including treasurer and vice president. He was an avid Ohio State and Steelers fan. Brian loved country music and singing karaoke. He would always go out of his way to help others. Most importantly he was a loving father, fiancé and friend.

Preceding Brian in death was his son Bradley D. Farnsworth.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Brittany Farnsworth and her husband Jason Savell; fiancée Vicky Kolkowski; brother Robert Farnsworth and two nieces Kendall Wagner and her husband Martin, Caitlin Szymanski and her husband Stephan and their children.

Friends may visit Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 5 p.m. Rev. Eric Edwards of St. John Lutheran Church will conduct a funeral service 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial at Riverview Cemetery.
