Brian Thomas “Boo” Gordon, 48 of Jarratt, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father Samuel T. Gordon, Jr. and grandfathers, Samuel T. Gordon and Henry Whitt.

Boo was employed by VDOT and had been a farmer for most of his life. He loved the outdoors. Hunting with dogs was his passion; as well as mentoring young boys in the hunt club. Owen Hunt Club is where you could find Boo during the hunting months and all throughout the year. He leaves many behind to cherish his many memories and famous stories.

Boo is survived by his wife Courtney and son Mason; his Mother, Donna Taylor (Donnie); Grandmothers, Joyce Gordon and Mildred Whitt; Brother-in-Law, Chris Wray (Torri); Mother-in-law, Dolly Wray; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved Poodle, Finn.

A memorial service will held 1 p.m. Friday, August 29 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. prior to the service.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a savings account set up at Bank of Southside Virginia in Courtney Gordon’s name for Mason’s future education.
