Brian M. Hammes of Colgate passed away unexpectedly due to a heart condition on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the age of 43. He was born in Fort Carson, Colorado on August 19, 1980 the son of Mark and Beth (nee Helms) Hammes.
Throughout his career, Brian dedicated many years to working at Border States Electric and more recently at Lowe’s Pro Supply. In his leisure time, he found joy in activities such as target shooting, auto racing, working on his cars, working out, and grilling and smoking various meats. Above all else, he treasured these moments alongside his cherished son, Collin, and he was always happiest when they were spending time together.
He will be sadly missed by his cherished son, Collin Hammes; parents, Mark and Beth Hammes; sister Teresa (Ross) Christensen; nieces, Cailyn and Addison Christensen; and sister-in-law Kristin Hammes. He is further survived by several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. He was recently preceded in death by his brother Joshua “Josh” Hammes on April 13, 2024.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. memorial service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. For those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Brian, memorials can be directed to Mark or Beth Hammes for the benefit of his son Collin.
