Brian C. Harmer, of Media, 65 years passed away suddenly September 18, 2024 under the care of Chester County Hospital. Brian was born in Chester to the late Charles and Philomena nee Cerbara Harmer. After Brian's father passed away, Brian showed great love for his mom,"Mamie", making sure she was well taken care of until she passed away.
He was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales in Lenni and graduated from Penncrest High School. Brian received his associates degree from Delaware County Community College. Brian was a sales manager for various wireless telephone companies and was previously employed by CK Seidman in Chester Township.
Brian was a member of F&AM Lodge #744, amateur radio operator, Knights of Columbus, and a former sacristant at St. Francis de Sales Church in Lenni. When the Star Wars movies were released, Brian became a huge fan. He created a mock up of the Mos Eisley Cantina (The Star Wars Bar), in his basement, complete with several Star Wars characters and other Star Wars paraphernalia. Brian was featured in a Daily Time news article, with several of his friends, pertaining to his basement Cantina. Brian and his friends' named themselves "The Sunday Night Crew"
Brian. Met the love of his life, Perlita Barcelona "Pearly" and they shared 18 years of marriage, until his passing. Left to cherish his memory, are 2 daughters; Erika Maglassang and her husband Mark and Katrin Tolosa, also survived by 4 grandchildren; Ethan, Charles, Audrey, and Kael. Brian leaves many friends, coworkers and acquaintances.
Family and friends are invited to his funeral Mass Tuesday, September 24, 2024 11:00 AM in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 35 New Road Lenni, Aston Township, PA 19052. Viewing will be held in the church10:00-10:45 AM prior to Mass. Burial Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
In lieu of flowers, Brians Family has asked for contributions to St. Francis de Sales Church.
Funeral services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service of East York.
