Brian P. Hayes, age 62, of French Lake Township, died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his home.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in French Lake with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Todd Nelsen will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the family.
Brian Philip Hayes was born on August 23, 1962, to Kenneth and Frances (Hills) Hayes. He grew up in Hamel, was baptized and confirmed at the Church of St. Anne in Hamel, and graduated from Wayzata High School. He worked as a flooring installer and was co-owner of Fuzzy Side Up along with his business partner, Bill Knisley. In addition, the work he loved was being a musician; he performed all his life. After a 35-year journey together, Brian and his soulmate, Irine Hayes, were united in marriage on September 11, 1999, along the scenic banks of the Crow River in Waverly.
Brian's love for music, cooking, fishing, hunting, boating, poker, and fantasy football endeared him to those around him. Brian shared his artistic talents through his music and had a generous spirit that touched the lives of many.
Brian is survived by his wife, Irine Hayes; children, McKinley (Elizabeth) Hayes of Hamel, Lucas Hayes of French Lake, and Maria Hayes of French Lake; grandchildren, Nonawhyn, Bodhi, Phoenix, and Zephyrus; siblings, Terry Hayes, Pat (Linda) Hayes, Larry Hayes, Becky Utecht, Ken Hayes, and Mike Hayes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Frances Hayes; and sister, Margaret Hayes.
The urn bearers will be Monte Andrews, McKinley Hayes, Luke Hayes, Chris Mauk and Ken Hayes. Kevin Pertinen, Jesse and Jennifer Petrowski, and Maria Hayes will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
