Brian Keith Henckel, beloved husband, father, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away December 18, 2024 at the age of 52. Born December 20, 1971, in Uniontown Pennsylvania to Lawrence and Margaret (Hudock) Henckel, he is the youngest of seven siblings. Brian graduated from Geibel Catholic High School in 1989 and went on to play football and study Health & Safety at Slippery Rock University. He finished his educational career with a Masters Degree in Health & Safety from Indiana University of PA. Brian held various roles during a successful career as an industrial safety specialist and was employed at Stone and Company where he coordinated many key business responsibilities. He spent countless hours coaching various youth sports in the Mt. Pleasant area. He also coached football and basketball at Geibel Catholic High School in Connellsville PA. Brian was a dedicated, passionate coach who left lasting positive impacts that will never be forgotten. Brian had a radiant spirit and lived life to the fullest. His heart was full of love and laughter, accompanied by a vigor and strength that defined him. He was a father, coach, great friend to many, and our biggest fan. He loved the Steelers, his neighborhood fantasy football league, spending time in the mountains, old country music, and his dog (Rayne). Above all else, Brian loved his family with all of his might and we will never forget how much he cared for us. He is larger than life, he was the cornerstone of his family, and he is gone too soon. Brian is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Margaret (Hudock) Henckel. He is survived by his wife Heidi Frantz Henckel, and their children Christian Henckel (Jessica Raad), and Alexa Henckel (Seth Haggerty), his siblings Sherry Kuhta (George), Larry Henckel (Carolee) Mark Henckel, Brenda Lulich (Tim), Kimberly Henckel, and Jackie Hamo (Lou), cousin Chris Kennedy and many other cousins, his brother-in-law Justin Frantz (Jen), sister-in-law Gretchen, nieces and nephews George, Kevin, Kristie, Larry, Becky, Jennifer, Lauren, Timmy, Tommy, Nick, Andrea, Katelyn, Ava, Anna, Maeve and Cayne. Family and friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. Sunday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant.
