Brian Lopez Herrera

Brian Alexander Lopez Herrera, age 17, of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was the beloved son of Jose Vincente Lopez and Maria Herrera of Lynn. Born on June 17, 2007, in Cambridge, MA, he was raised in Everett and moved to Lynn with his family in 2019. Brian graduated from Breed Middle School and was entering his Senior year at Lynn Classical High School. He started working at The Food Project in Lynn and Beverly 3 weeks ago, to begin saving for college. He was an avid reader, loved playing video games, going for walks and exercising. He adored his nieces and nephews and always enjoyed playing different games with them and his siblings. He was their favorite uncle, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents Maria and Jose, Brian is survived by his siblings, Victor Martinez and his wife Cindy Hernandez of Iowa, Jose Emmanuel Martinez of East Boston, Fatima Martinez of Lynn and Reyna Martinez of Lynn; his grandmother Domitilia of El Salvador; his nieces and nephews, Dilmar, Iker, Ariana, Khiara, Zoe and Ethan, and his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his cats Romeo and Tiger and his parrot Brian.
A Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10a.m. from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn at 11a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7p.m. in the Funeral Home.
