Brian Scott Hess, 59, of Sandyville, WV passed on August 4, 2025. Scott was born on August 13, 1965 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Howard and Leola Hess.

Scott is survived by his son, SGT Brian Hess; daughter, Skye(Wesley) Oliver; brothers, Robert "Rob"(Althea) Hess, and Douglas(Brenda) Hess; granddaughter, Eleanor Oliver; nephews, Dustin Hess, Benji Hess, and Matthew Hess; and nieces, Juanita Riggs, Tracy Chapman, SFC Sarah Hess, Christie Hess, and Kimmy Hess. He is also survived by many extended family members; Tanatha and Jeremy Amos, Maggie and Branson Amos, Lincoln Amos, Cameron Hildreth, and Don and Diane Staats.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Jefferey Hess; sister, Deborah Cranfield; and nephew, SPC David A. Hess.

Scott enjoyed the outdoors and will be remembered for his love of farming, logging, fishing, hunting, and was also an avid collector of many things. More than anything, he cherished his time with his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Waybright Funeral Home on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 1p.m. with pastor Bud McVey officiating. There will also be a visitation held from 11a.m. until the time of the service with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, out Dewey Thomas Hill.
