LAKEPORT ---- Brian Joseph Hough, 78, passed away at Concord Hospital - Concord, on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Brian was born on August 31, 1946 in Laconia, NH to Richard Leo Hough and Lena Rose (Vallee-Paige) Hough.
He proudly served his country in the US Army with the C Battery 3rd Battalion 197th Artillery during the Vietnam War.
Brian graduated from Laconia High School Class of 1964. He went on to study at Southern NH University. Brian, by trade, was a machinist and a mason. He retired from the Laconia School District.
He was a member of the VFW Post #1670 and a past commander of the American Legion Post #1. Brian had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Brian is survived by his son, Matthew Brian Hough, of Laconia, his beloved Collie Laddy, two sisters, Mona Joan Mattuzzi, of Colorado and Judith H. Price, of Gilford, NH, two brothers, Andre Vaugn (Karen) Hough, of Florida and David Arthur Hough, of Laconia, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins, as well as extended family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Margaret A. Hawkins and brothers Christian L. Hough, Edward B. Hough and Paul F. Hough.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 12:00pm - 1:30pm with a time of sharing at 1:30pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
Burial will be held with military honors at a later date and time in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made in Brian's memory to the NH Humane Society, PO Box 572 Laconia, NH 03247 or to a veteran's association of your choice.
