Brian Hughes

Brian Hughes peacefully passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. He was born April 5, 1962, in Billerica, MA where he grew up with his five siblings. Brian was an avid wrestler during High School and earned the title of New England State Champion. Having been born with a passion for construction, Brian relocated to Vero Beach, FL and started "Bangin Nails." He spent most his life there, raising his son as they shared similar interests. "Ya see, you gotta be smarter than the wood," as Brian would say, was just one of their long time running jokes. He relocated to River Ridge, LA after-hurricane Katrina accompanied by his son and business continued to grow.
Brian was a lover of life but becoming a "Papa" was by far his favorite. He spent countless hours with his grandchildren, spoiling and loving them. They went on epic adventures and enjoyed all the "Sweets" that life had to give. Brian's boyish charm and infectious smile will forever be missed.
Left to cherish in his memory are; the mother of his child, Lynn Weaver; his beloved son, Eric Hughes and his wife Frances and their children Emmy, Warren, and Hailey.
Son of the late Mary Louise Tremblay Hughes and David Hughes. Brother of Michele Douglas and her husband Jesse, Maureen Hughes, Christine Shewbridge and her husband Bill, Bruce Hughes and his wife Margie, and Jeff Hughes and his wife Lisa. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and his furry canine companion Pup Daddy.
