Brian W. Johnson, 55, of West Burlington, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1966 to Wanda Johnson. He attended Danville High School and graduated in 1985. He later attended Southeastern Community College and earned an Associates Degree in 1995.
Brian had a great love for music. He bought his first guitar at 16, started playing Rock 'n' Roll in different bands and never tired of it. KISS was a lifelong favorite band of his. He also enjoyed singing karaoke and playing chess.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Tricia Tanner, of Washington, IA; his parents, Donald and Wanda Nafziger of Danville; a daughter, Leah Cupples of Newton, IA; a son, Jacob Mettler of New London; and two grandsons, Rylan Cupples and Ryder Hoffman of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, January 3, 2022 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Cremation will be entrusted to Prugh Crematory following the visitation. Burial will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established for the West Burlington Fire Department.
