Brian Lund

Brian Edwin Lund, age 66 of Salem, passed away on February 19, 2026, at Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem.

Mr. Lund was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on January 7, 1960, son of the late Capt. Kenneth James Putt CHC USN Ret. and Carol Ann (Oslund) Putt. Mr. Lund's father was also a Pastor with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Mr. Lund is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Oslund Putt. Mr. Lund is also survived by cousin, Randi Heald and husband Robert, many nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth James Putt and a brother, Gregory James Putt.

Mr. Lund found peace and tranquility through music. He began as a church organist at the age of 15 and served as an organist at various other churches during his adult years. Mr. Lund was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Salem, where he found his church family.

A celebration of life service for Brian Edwain Lund will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church with Pastors Mike Feldmann and Ethan Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Allmon Cemetery in Salem. Memorial donations can be made to the Salem Lutheran Church, at 1401 Hawthorn Road, Salem, IL or left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
