Brian Malover Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 14, 2025.
Brian Henry Malover, 74, of Troy, passed away peacefully in his home on January 20th, 2025. Born on September 21st, 1950, to Henry and Justine Malover, Brian grew up in Lathrup Village, where he attended both Detroit Country Day High School and Southfield Lathrup High School. He lived a life full of dedication, hard work, and love for his family, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
After high school, he attended University of Detroit Mercy for several years where he had the opportunity to study abroad in Europe for three months. While there, he lived at the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg castle. On the weekends he toured the surrounding countries via train or motorcycle with so many exciting stories to tell. He moved on after Mercy to RETS Electronic Training School but came back to the family business, Malover Printing. With his passion for the trade, he ventured out on his own in 1995 and started Malover Ink Printing & Graphics where he built a successful career for the next 30 years.
On June 9th, 1981, Brian married the love of his life, Denise Speina-Malover. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, sharing over 43 years of memories, devotion, and companionship. Brian was known for his heartfelt warmth that could light up any room, always putting his family first. His genuine kindness and caring nature made him a cherished presence to all who knew him.
A devout Catholic, Brian was a proud founding member of the Knights of Columbus at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he instilled a sense of devotion and compassion in those around him. With his compassion to help, he was also a coach for On My Own of Michigan softball team.
In his spare time Brian enjoyed fishing, camping (with Woodstock being his most memorable camping experience), hiking, gardening, wine making, motorcycling, and home renovations. So, if you knew Brian, you knew he was a jack of all trades, especially when it involved purchasing a new tool.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Denise; his children, Justin Malover and Brittany Burnwell; his grandchildren, Olivia and Veda; as well as his siblings, Sharon Seafuri, Ray (Theresa) Malover, Larry (Barb) Malover, Mary Alice (Steve) Gilbert, and Kevin Malover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Justine Malover, and his brother, Gregory Malover.
Brian will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his generous spirit. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held at a later date. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Brian, please visit our Tree Store.
