EAST BERKSHIRE - Brian Messier, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born on January 24, 1943, in St. Albans to the late Ronald & Catherine (Fuller) Messier.
Brian was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Richford High School and went on to spend his working life in various roles, from welding and fabricating at Blue Seal to auto body work and finally carving out a name for himself in carpentry.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Messier; two sons, Edward Messier and his wife Emily Fecteau, and Richard Messier and his wife Mable; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and his sister, Virginia Kinney and her husband Raymond.
A graveside memorial service will be held this spring in Hillside Cemetery in Richford.
