ENOSBURG FALLS - Andrew Kane, age 86, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his home in Enosburg Falls.
He was born July 9, 1939 in St. Brigid, Quebec, Canada to the late Eddie & Marie (Martin) Kane.
Andrew made his way to Vermont at a young age, where he carried with him the strong work ethic instilled during his upbringing on the family farm. His life was marked by hard work and dedication. He took pride in his career, first contributing to the construction of Interstate 89, then mastering the art of electrical work as a well-respected electrician. Andrew wasn't just an electrician; he was a jack of all trades. Whether it was carpentry, plumbing, or even logging, if it involved working with his hands, you could be sure he'd be there, tackling any project that came his way with skill and vigor.
Outside of work, Andrew truly lived life to the fullest. He had a deep love for the great outdoors, relishing the moments spent hunting, fishing, cutting wood, and riding his ATV. Andrew also shared a special bond with his dogs and loved spending time with them, especially his sidekick, Sophie.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Bette Kane, they were married November 19, 1966. Five children, Deborah Legere and her children, Shannon Legere and Jonathan Legere; Sandra Deuso and her husband Allen, and her child, Andrew (Amy) Jenkins; Timothy Kane and his wife Paula Boomhower and their children, Timothy (Samantha) Jones, Danielle (James) Turner, and Sunni (Chris) Tipper; Marie Kane and her children, Brandon Kane, and Garrett Kane; and Lisa Kane and her children, Piper Irish, and Wyatt Irish; eight great grandchildren, Riley, Drew, Megan, Alex, Rosie, Elijah, Asher, and Keagan; his sister, Patricia (Ted) Kane-Breure; sister-in-law, Joan Forty Kane; brother-in-law, Richard Putnam; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Andrew was predeceased by his granddaughters, Jodi Jenkins, and Jennifer Jenkins; and siblings, Beatrice (Edwin) Reynolds, Alice (Tom) Swainbank, Edna Putnam, Herman Kane, Walter (Alfreda) Kane, Dennis (Rita) Kane, Franklin (Gloria) Kane, and Michael Kane.
Friends & family are invited to Andrew's life celebration on Friday, February 20, 2026 to include visitation from 2-4:00 PM followed with a memorial service at 4:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will be held this spring in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
