Brian Nelson Miller, 68, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on January 4th 2025 after a short illness. Brian was born December 15th 1956 in Elmira New York. He was the cherished husband of Vicki Lee Cline Miller for 44 years, having been married on July 4th 1980. He was a devoted Father to daughters Anna Miller (Joshua Holcomb) and Gwyndolyn Fletcher (Joshua). Brian held a BA from Cedarville University, an MA in Philosophy from the University of Dayton, and a Masters of Theology from Bethel Seminary San Diego. He served in the US Navy as an Intelligence Officer, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was most recently retired from the State of Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, where he was a systems administrator.
Brian found joy in his family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was known as a wonderful, kind, honest, wise, straightforward, and generous man. He was a good friend and father figure to many teen friends of his children and to a number of adults he shepherded through tough times. He was a committed Christian who lived out his faith and served as elder, deacon, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher of children and adults in churches in Colorado, California, and Ohio.
Brian is survived by his wife Vicki, children Anna and Gwyndolyn and their children Gage and Elijah, and Sasha and Adelai. He is also survived by sister Donna Hubbard (Larry), sister-in-law Donna Miller and sisters-in-law Kathy Gothard, Cindy Saving (Dave), Kristine Strawser (John), Connie McKee (Ray), and Molly Bukky (Nick) and brother-in-law Kurt Cline (Jewel). Also by, 27 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Brian was predeceased by parents George and Doris, brothers Arnie and Gerald and sister-in-law Jackie Menz.
Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 5:00pm until time of memorial service at 6:00pm.
