Felix Rozzo, age 87, passed away on February 2, 2026 at his home in Grayson, Georgia. He was born on April 22, 1938 in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Felix graduated from Ashtabula High School, Class of 1956. He earned his Bachelor’s of Education Degree from the University of Dayton and his Master’s in Counseling and Administration from Kent State University (Kent Campus). An educator for thirty years, he began his career in Portage County and Brunswick as a PE and health teacher, a counselor, and a principal. He then worked twenty-five years with the South Euclid/Lyndhurst City School District as the Vocational Education Director at Charles F. Brush High School.

In his early years, he enjoyed singing in the school choir and playing tennis. He worked for the New York Central Railroad as a switchman earning his way through college. He married Ann Radice, his wife of fifty-eight years, on June 29, 1963 at St. Gregory the Great Church in South Euclid, Ohio. They spent their honeymoon traveling to California along historic Route 66 as well as camping at the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Yosemite National Parks. Other favorite destinations were Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean. As newlyweds they lived in Monroe Falls, Ohio and eventually moved to Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Nineteen years later, they moved to South Euclid.

Felix enjoyed being outside on weekends and summers at the family farm in Saybrook, Ohio. He and Ann gardened and worked diligently to maintain the property. He delighted in hosting family picnics there as well as at Lake Shore Park in Ashtabula where they took pride in their Lake Erie home and managed their rental properties. In retirement, he and his wife started their business, Wholly Donuts, in South Euclid. In 2003, they established residency in Grayson, Georgia to be near their daughters and to enjoy the snowbird lifestyle while still spending part of the year in Ashtabula.

He often sang along to his favorite songs from the 1950’s and 60’s. Accordion music also brought him joy, especially when his daughters played for him. He loved a hot, glazed donut, fresh Italian bread, popcorn, and Coca-Cola. He never did find a good cup of coffee.

Felix embodied the meaning of his name, happy . Good-humored and resilient, he was also a hard worker who liked to keep busy. He had a positive outlook on life.  “Don’t sweat the small stuff," was a favorite quote. He was selfless and a peacemaker. Felix was a wonderful husband and father who leaves a legacy of kindness, gentleness, and compassion.

Felix was the ninth of ten children who were all born and raised in Ashtabula. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Rozzo Sr. and Nicoletta (Guerriero) Rozzo, his wife, Ann (2021), siblings Congetta (Peter) Zarriello, Joseph (Clara), Peter (Suzanne), Lena (Gerald) West, Anne (Dick) Sayers, Carmen, John (Vivian). He is survived by his children Paul Rozzo of Ashtabula, Kristie Rozzo of Grayson, Georgia, Paula (Eric) Wolman of Suwanee, Georgia, grandchildren Corey Vedder and Evelyn Vedder, both of Grayson, Georgia, sister Virginia West of Chincoteague, VA, brother Francis (Janet) of Mentor, Ohio, sister-in-law Cynthia also of Mentor, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Felix was a member of St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church in Snellville, Georgia. Throughout his life as an Ashtabula resident, he attended St. Joseph’s, Mother of Sorrows, and Mt. Carmel churches. There are no services planned at this time. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula, Ohio.
