Brian Charles Pitts

Brian Charles Pitts of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away at his home on Monday September 5, 2022. Brian was born at the Beaufort Naval Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina on September 10, 1962 and moved to Hilton Head Island in 1973. He attended high school at H.E. McCracken and graduated in 1980. He graduated from The University of South Carolina in 1984 and received his Juris Doctorate from The University of South Carolina School of Law. Brian Pitts became a member of the South Carolina state bar in 1987 and had been a practicing attorney in Beaufort County until his death in 2022.
Brian was an avid Gamecock and Braves fan. He was blessed to see the Braves win the 2021 World Series as well as see the Gamecocks put up an astounding 7-6 season. Brian loved music in all aspects. He could play any song you wanted on the piano and had albums that spanned across all genres. There a wasn't a book out there that he hadn't read. While growing up on Hilton Head, Brian would often go to the beach just to sit and read. He loved gardening and cooking. Brian loved Hilton Head Island
He was predeceased by his parents Charles Harold Pitts and Margaret Phillips Pitts. Surviving are his three children Charlie Pitts, Allison Pitts, Henry Pitts, and their mother Sylvia Culpepper Pitts; his two sisters Susan Pitts Stults, Lisa Pitts Kremer, and her husband Kevin Kremer; his Aunt Elaine Pitts Coppage and Uncle John W. Phillips. A service will be held at Saul's Funeral Home on Wednesday September 14, 2022.
The family will receive friends at 4pm and a short service at 5pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or to Any Lengths Recovery (anylength.org).
