A Celebration of Life for Brian Gregory Robinson of Jacksonville, will be at 11 am on Monday, June 27, 2022, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs (Anniston, Alabama). The family will receive one hour prior to the service. Chris Youngman (son-in-law), John Robinson (son), and Todd Thomas (brother-in-law) will be officiating the service. Immediately following the service, Brian will be interred at West Hill Cemetery in Trion, Georgia.
His loving family surrounded Brian as he went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Brian fought a good fight and displayed his loyalty to the Lord with courage and bravery throughout this battle.
Brian moved to Jacksonville, Alabama in 1984, from New Jersey. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey, and lived in Guilford, Connecticut. He moved to Jacksonville, Alabama and gave his life to the Lord, and never wavered in his faith. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in education. He was licensed and ordained at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He pastored at Riddles Bend Baptist Church, Oak Bowery Baptist Church, Menlo First Baptist Church, and In His Presence Fellowship.
Brian worked for Jacksonville Christian Academy for seventeen years as a teacher. Brian lived to give to others. He loved ministering to others. He loved people from all races and backgrounds. He was gifted and creative; he enjoyed connecting with young people and serving the underdog. He was an avid Christian environmentalist. He loved to play the drums and guitar. He enjoyed participating in Celebrate Recovery at First Baptist Jacksonville. His happiest moments were spent with family and friends.
Brian is survived by his wife of almost 37 years, Faith. He has a daughter, Joy Youngman (Chris), and Oliver and Elliott. He has a son, John Robinson (Stacey) Jackson, and Levi. He has a surviving brother, Kenneth Robinson, Jr., of New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Robinson, Sr. and Ingrid Robinson, and a sister, Kristine Robinson.
A special thank you to family, friends, and various churches for their diligent prayers and continued encouragement. Thank you to Covenant Life Church, Faith Temple, Wellington First Baptist Church, Jacksonville Christian Academy, and drum corp friends for their dedicated support, prayers, and love throughout this time. The family would like to thank the staff at UAB Hospital, Nolan Hospital, and Amedisys for their loving care and his family.
