Brian Shane Roland, 45, died Thursday, March 20, 2025 at NHC Transitional Care.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Darren Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Shane was born on October 30, 1979 in Maury County, TN to William Carl Roland and the late Barbara Ann Slaughter Roland Hayes. He loved fishing and had a passion for remote control cars which he enjoyed doing with his son and daughter.
Survivors include his father, Carl Roland of Columbia; son, Jake Roland of Columbia; daughter, Mallory Roland of Columbia; sister, Tiffany Ervin of Columbia; the mother of his children, Amanda Roland of Columbia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Ann Slaughter Roland Hayes on September 24, 2019; maternal grandparents Cleveland Andrew Slaughter and Alline M. Haywood Slaughter; paternal grandparents William “Toby” Roland and Faylene Scribner Roland.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
