On February 8, 2023, his 23rd birthday, Brian Gale Schieweck went home to be with the Lord. His passing was sudden and unexpected and has left our family devasted. Brian Gale was born in Detroit, Michigan, beloved son of Brian Patrick Schieweck, dearest brother of Robert and Sara Schieweck. Loved grandson of Virginia and Lloyd Slabaugh, and Robert and Tina Miller. Brian is proceeded in death by his mother Jennifer Dawn Miller-Schieweck, his great grandmother Bernice Micklash, his grandfather Gale Schieweck, and his grandmother Mary Ann Gogoleski. Brian graduated in 2018 from Chippewa Valley High School where he was an exceptional athlete in baseball as well as football, leading his team as Head Captain. At the end of Brian's football season his senior year he was honored to be chosen to play in the All Star East-West Football game for the State where Brian made the first play of the game. With the guidance of Coach Scott Merchant, Brian chose to continue his career and take his talents to Northern Michigan University. During his time at NMU, Brian worked hard to play defensive back for his first 3 years of college, then, in his senior year he was moved to inside linebacker. Football was Brians passion, and he was never happier then when he was on the field. Watching him play was a dream that we as family will always cherish. Brian was always an inspiring leader with his infectious personality and true love for the game. Brian also excelled off the field, being the first in his family to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree, in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. After his college graduation Brian wanted to deepen his relationship with Jesus and faithfully attended church every Sunday at The Rock. Brian truly was the life of the party and could make anyone smile even on their saddest day. He viewed life as a celebration and would want all his family and friends to celebrate the time they had with him here. Brian Gale will be deeply missed and his light will continue to shine in the hearts of those that he has left behind.
A memorial gathering will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 1-8pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 43300 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, 48038
