Brian Schweigel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMurrough Funeral Chapel - Libertyville on May 26, 2025.
Brian Richard Schweigel, beloved father, brother, and son, passed away peacefully at his home in Glendale, Arizona, on December 26, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 61 years old.
Born on June 3, 1963, in Park Ridge, Illinois, Brian was the son of Robert Schweigel and Dyann Schweigel. He grew up with his siblings Sharon Schweigel, Robert Schweigel, Jennifer Schweigel, Wayne Schweigel, and Kurt Schweigel, forming bonds of love and camaraderie that lasted a lifetime.
Brian was a passionate believer in a compassionate society and a dedicated parent who always put his children's well-being first. His unwavering commitment to ethics, integrity, and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Brian graduated from the University of Iowa, where he studied accounting and worked tirelessly to achieve his education. His tenacity and determination set the stage for a remarkable career.
He began his professional journey in public accounting and steadily advanced, eventually becoming the Chief Financial Officer of a significant company. Later, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he founded his own energy company, where his hard work and vision created lasting success.
Above all, Brian's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted father to his four children: Brynne Schweigel-Skeers, Sandy Schweigel, Louisa Schweigel, and Daniel Schweigel. He cherished supporting their dreams and goals and was a constant source of love, guidance, and encouragement. A passionate baseball fan and lover of family gatherings, Brian embodied honesty, compassion, and a steadfast dedication to his loved ones.
In addition to his professional and family achievements, Brian gave back to his community with a generous heart. He served as the treasurer for Providence St. Mel in Chicago, helping provide educational opportunities to underprivileged inner-city youth. His efforts reflected his deep commitment to making the world a better place for others.
Brian Schweigel is survived by his children, Brynne Schweigel-Skeers, Sandy Schweigel, Louisa Schweigel, and Daniel Schweigel; his mother, Dyann Schweigel; and his siblings Sharon Schweigel, Robert Schweigel, Jennifer Schweigel, and Wayne Schweigel. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Schweigel, and his brother, Kurt Schweigel.
Visitation for Brian will be from 2:00 - 6:00 PM on Feb 8th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville
