Brian Douglas Schweppe, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Brian Schweppe was born in Merritt Island, Florida, the son of Gerry and Maxine Schweppe. He was an associate pastor with Rise Community Church in Myrtle Beach. He was president of his own company, Covenant Integration Services, and by the working of the Lord and the glee of his wife, he became the Maintenance Director at Scrubby's Car Wash. He was a US Navy Submarine Veteran who served onboard the USS Baltimore as a Nuclear Machinist's Mate during Desert Storm.
Brian had a gift for making people feel seen and a passion to share the love of Christ. He loved to make people smile with his quick-witted humor and love for people. He was a faithful minister of the gospel and loved seeing people healed until he went to be with the Lord.
He called himself a jack of all trades and master of none. Brian was a true renaissance man who enjoyed participating in various activities, such as:
· Being a member of mission teams serving in eastern Europe and South America
· Archery, competition shooting, and hunting
· Scuba Diving
· Martial Arts
· Snow Skiing
· Weight Lifting
· Coaching his son's baseball games
· Lifelong learner and a graduate of Regent University
Surviving in addition to his parents are: his wife, Maureen; sons, Austin, Ian, and Evan; brother, Eric; sister, Jordanna, and her children; Ayla, Adam, and Noah; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support. Please continue to keep us in your
prayers.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Florence National Cemetery in South Carolina with Pastor Shawn Perkins and Pastor Danell Perkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rise Community Church of Myrtle Beach.
