Brian Scott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Mortuary - Las Vegas from May 21 to May 22, 2021.
Brian Terrell Scott was born June 4, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Johnny and Ann B. Scott. His family relocated to his mother's hometown of Biloxi, Mississippi in 1975 and returned to Las Vegas 10 years later. Throughout his childhood and youth, he was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Biloxi, Mississippi and Zion United Methodist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brian was a pillar in the music programs of both congregations. Additionally, he was active in Zion's Methodist Youth Fellowship throughout high school. Brian graduated from Valley High School in 1990, as a Varsity Scholar Athlete in Football and Track and Field.

He participated in Valley's choral programs and a host of clubs and student organizations. He moved on to Elizbeth City College in Elizabeth City, South Carolina on a Football Scholarship. Brian returned home to Las Vegas in 1994, and served as the Director of Zion's Youth Choir and member of the Trustee Committee. He was a skilled plumber and worked for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, the City of Las Vegas and Southwest Gas before returning back to school
to complete his Culinary Arts degree in 2018. Upon graduation he was immediately hired by Golden Entertainment.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, Brian transitioned from this life to be with the Lord. Brian was proceeded in death by his Father, Johnny B. Scott Sr.

Brian leaves to cherish his memories to his mother, Ann B. Scott; three brothers: Johnny Scott Jr., Darrell Scott, and Jeffery Scott; sister, Rev. Kimberly Scott; son, Rian Scott; stepson, Re'kwon Smith, his loving girlfriend of seven years, Jessie Harry; and a host of family and friends.

Brian Terrell Scott, you will forever be in our hearts and in our memories for the love you had for your friends and your family.
