Brian Sills Obituary Brian Willard Sills, 51, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (February 25, 2025) at Genesis of Zanesville.
He was born July 6, 1973 in Cambridge, son of Louise (Smith) Sills and the late Tom Sills.
A 1992 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Brian was a long-time employee of the City of Cambridge having worked in multiple departments over the years.
Brian was a member of the Byesville Volunteer Fire Department, where he once served as chief. He was also a member of the Cambridge Masonic Lodge and a social member of the Byesville VFW.
He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was known for his dry wit and wry sense of humor.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen (Froment) Sills, who passed away September 29, 2018. Also deceased is his mother-in-law, Marge Froment.
Brian is survived by his mother, Louise Sills of Byesville; two stepchildren, Nick and Nicole; two brothers, Scott (Chris) Sills of Sarahsville and Tom (Michele) Sills of Byesville; his father-in-law, Frog Froment; his sister-in-law Marsha and her family; his brother-in-law Mark and his family; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Cambridge, on Tuesday (March 4, 2025) at 11 a.m.
Following the service, a gathering will be held at the Byesville Volunteer Fire Department all are invited.
