Kandace Back Obituary Kandace "Kandy" L. Back, 58, of Byesville, passed away Monday (June 23, 2025).
She was born September 14, 1966 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Jack Back Sr. and Mary (Lowe) Back.
A 1984 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Kandace previously worked as a dietary aide before becoming a homemaker and raising her children. Her children remained her utmost priority.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, family, and friends. She loved the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State. She also loved her cartoon characters and her pets. Animals held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alfred Lowe; and her brother, Jack Back Jr.
Kandace is survived by her daughter, Clarinda Back (Marvin Facey) of Byesville; her baby boy, Christopher Back-Michelli (Kyra Siddle) of Caldwell; her brothers, Randolph (Connie) Back of Cambridge, Frank (Cathy) Back of Cambridge, and Lee Back of Bethesda; her sister-in-law, Lisa Back of Byesville; her longtime partner, Michael Michelli of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her unofficial adopted children over the years. She also leaves behind her dog, Bruzer; her cats Ornery, Pumpkin, and Chester who were all very special to her.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (July 1, 2025) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
