Joann Sills, 93, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hamilton Pointe.
Joann was born on April 13, 1932, in Evansville to the late Joseph and Catherine (Herron) Weigand. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for Indiana Bell and Bernardin. Joann was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, had a lifelong love of dancing and was an advocate and supporter of ARC of Evansville.
Surviving Joann are three sons, Kevin (Robin) Sills, Daniel (Cheryl Bergeron) Sills and Tom Sills; grandchildren, Benjamin Sills, Meadow Lillium, Jordan Sills, Harrison Sills, Erin Deaton, Allie Dicke, Victoria Sills and Madeline (Haley) Sills and four great grandchildren, Kade and Ty Deaton and Daniel and Michael Dicke.
In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Sills in 2011; by a son, Stevie Sills in 2008 and by her daughter, Joanie Sills in 2020.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Lowell Will officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N. Wabash Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church or to Evansville ARC, Inc. 615 W. Virginia Street, Evansville, IN 47710.
