Shirley Ann Weinzapfel, 86, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Newburgh Healthcare surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born on March 10, 1939, in Central City, Kentucky to the late Robert B. Vincent and Juanita Fay (Turner) Vincent. Shirley was a 1957 graduate of Central High School and was active in coordinating their class reunions for many years. She earned a degree in Medical Assisting from Ivy Tech Community College, but most of her time was spent as a homemaker, raising her family she loved so much.
Surviving Shirley are her husband of 67 years, Donald Weinzapfel; children, Larry (Leigh) Weinzapfel of Evansville, Cyndi (Michael) Williams of Newburgh and Scott Weinzapfel of Valrico, Florida; grandchildren, Kristen (Nick) Skeen, Josh (Brittney Graser) Williams, Lucas Weinzapfel and Laci Weinzapfel and two great grandchildren, Amelia and Scarlett Skeen. Also surviving Shirley are many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Carl Vincent and Billy Earl Vincent.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Rev. Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at Holy Rosary Church, 1301 S. Green River Road, Evansville, IN 47715.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or to the Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand, Indiana.
