Stephen L. Muehlbauer, 62, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Steve was born on May 26, 1963, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Donald L. and Carolyn (Acuff) Muehlbauer. He worked as a social worker and school counselor for the Normandy School District prior to his retirement. Steve always made time for his children, grandchildren and extended family. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and brother and sky diving.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Muehlbauer; two daughters and their husbands, Nichole and Aaron Brinkmann and Tara and Galen Tuley; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen Louise (Dave) Conia; brother and sister-in-law, Kenan Lee (Pam) Muehlbauer, and grandchildren, Landon and Colton Brinkmann and Morgan and Josie Tuley.
Funeral services for Steve will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Celebrate Recovery at celebraterecovery.com, to Al Anon at al-anon.org, or to a substance abuse treatment center that has brought themselves or a loved one peace.
