Brian Tosolt
October 31, 1958 – June 14, 2025
Brian Tosolt, 66, of Almont, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. He was a warrior who faced the challenges he had to bear these past months with determination, toughness, and positivity. Brian was loved by almost everyone who met him. His personality, sense of humor, and fun approach to life drew people in. That is what he will be remembered for the most.
Devoted husband of 37 years to his love, Rosa. Loving father to Erica (Hance), Ryan, and Angela (Jalen). Incredible grandpa to Ciera, Connor, Jalen Jr., and Lorenzo. Phenomenal brother to Keith (Jackie), Glenn (Jane), and Bruce (Brandelyn), and brother-in-law to Eddie and Debbie Bernal, Virg and Joe Teholis, and Jerry and Angie Bernal.
Survived by 11 nieces and nephews, many extended family members, and numerous friends who were like family. Preceded to heaven by father Frank Tosolt, mother Marie Lopez, mother-in-law Maria Carrasco, and niece Tonia Gaffney, who LOVED her Uncle Brian.
Brian was the family social director and top chef. Every Sunday, la familia got together and he cooked delicious meals. He liked nothing better than playing cards, listening to music, and watching IndyCar races and the Detroit Lions. Brian and Rosa hosted many fantastic Super Bowl parties and Halloween birthday celebrations.
He had a strong work ethic, spending most of his career at Lanzen Fabricating in Romeo, where he was a quality inspector. He gave back by mentoring kids as a karate instructor, soccer coach, and coach of the New Haven High School bowling team which he helped guide to the state finals two years in a row, taking the Division 3 championship in 2007, with his son Ryan as one of the stars.
When it came time for Angela to roll for the Rockets, Daddio was her coach for all four years of high school. He coached her in soccer as well. Gramps rarely missed a game of Ciera's soccer career from age five through high school. When Erica started playing catcher in softball, her Daddy coached her from behind the dugout. The tradition continued when Connor took up baseball and Brian gave him hitting tips. When Connor got his first hit and was awarded the game ball, PaPa was there to see it.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to honor Brian by donating to your favorite charity.
Visitation will be Friday June 20th, 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Chas. Verheyden Inc., 28499 Schoenherr Rd., Warren.

June 19, 2025

In Brian's youth we used to join him his mom and our close friend Glenn for a fun Euchre party at the time he was a motorcycle fan as I was. A very kind man fun to be with. All our memories of Brian warm our souls. My wife Connie and I would like to send our heart-felt condolences to his wife and children brothers and friends. We love the entire Tosalt family remembering our early days together. God bless Brian and all that have known him.
